Our real barnacles are a fascinating change in every aquarium and a great accessory in the home. The shell-like specimens offer hiding places for smaller fish and snails. In breeding, they sometimes prove to be excellent breeding and spawning grounds. The pieces are calcareous and therefore particularly popular in seawater aquariums, but in smaller quantities they are also a welcome change in freshwater aquariums.
