Mangrove wood

Origin:
Our mangrove wood comes mainly from the swamp areas of Asia and includes various types of mangrove trees. It is a unique tropical wood that has adapted to the tidal areas along the coasts and has an extraordinary way of life.
Properties:
Mangrove wood is a relatively soft, but overall very compact and stable, predominantly PH-neutral wood. Depending on the incidence of light and the condition, the color varies from a light brown to a dark brown to a reddish brown.
Due to its consistency, it is ideal as a dietary supplement for catfish and other wood-eating fish species.
Notes on use in the aquarium:
- Should be rinsed thoroughly before use in the aquarium or, alternatively, watered for several days.
- Must be weighted down with a stone or something similar in the beginning so that it does not float up.
- Can slightly cloud the water at the beginning (humic substances).
